The Kuari Pass Trek, also known as Lord Curzon’s Trail, takes you deep in the Garhwal Himalayas, to a maximum altitude of 12,763 ft. This trek in Uttarakhand takes you on one of the most magnificent adventure treks with views of stalwart Himalayan peaks such as Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi and its twin Nanda Devi East. The Kuari Pass Trek is considered to be one of the best trekking places in Uttarakhand, known as one of the best tourist places in India. A circuit trail from Joshimath this hike will take you through snow-capped ranges, quaint villages, rich Himalayan meadows or ‘Bugyals’ and valleys of the skiing capital Auli! Camping amongst the snow drifted forest covers in this fantastic adventure trekking experience of a lifetime! The 33 km long Kuari Pass Trek route is considered an easy to moderate difficulty level trek, with mesmerizing views of the glorious Himalayas that will outweigh any physical effort put in to reach the summit! The Kuari Pass Treks is one of the best opportunity for winter trekking in India, it being one of the Himalayan treks open during the winters! Mid-December to early March is the best season to take this adventure trek through thick snow layers that accentuate the beauty of the peaks. The temperature usually is 13°C to 18°C during the daytime and at night can go down to -3°C to 4°C.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 01: Haridwar Railway station and Transfer to Rishikesh
Upon arrival at Haridwar meet our representative and move to Rishikesh. Afternoon free to relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at resort/home stays.
Day 02: Drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath
After breakfast move for Joshimath. Evening free to relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at Himalyan Abode – luxury home stay at Joshimath. www.thehimalayanabode.com Joshimath is a small town in Uttarakhand Garhwal hills on the bank of the Alaknanda River. This place is very famous for Sankracharya temple. Joshimath is also a hub for many interesting mountaineering and trekking options in Garhwal Himalayas region
Day 03: Drive from Joshimath to Auli (13 km) and Trek from Gurson Bugyal to Chitraganta (5 km trek)
After early breakfast, you drive up from Joshimath to Auli in a private vehicle (13 kms, 45 mins drive). We start our trek from Auli to famous Bugyals (meadows) of Gorson and from here we can see 27 high mountain ranges with Nanda Devi (2nd highest peak). Today, we will have lunch on the trek. Dinner and overnight stay in Camp Tali / Chitraganta
Day 04: Chitraganta to Kuari Pass - Dhakwani (9km, 5-6hrs trek)
After early breakfast, you proceed for the trek. Stunning views of grand Himalayan panorama accompanies you throughout this beautiful trek. You can enjoy packed lunch with the majestic 360 degree Himalayan panorama surrounding you. When you reach the camp site in the evening, you will be greeted by our smiling staff and aroma of fresh and hot meal. Dinner and overnight stay at Kuari Pass camp site. Kuari Pass : - Lord Curzon made the trek to Kuari Pass and since then it has come to known as Curzon’s trail. It is very popular among European and American travelers. In 1905, Lord Corzon reached Kuari pass from Ghat via Ramni. Today many trekkers prefer to undertake the trek in the reverse direction. They climb the ridge above Tapovan, and reach Gailgarh, where the trail coming from Gorson meets. One can also reach Kuari Pass from Auli bugyal through Gorson Top and this is the beast idea. The main attraction of Curzon’s trail is the majestic view of the twin peaks of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri, and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat. Along the trek we’ll pass through pristine Rhododendron, Oak, and Deodar forests. Rare Himalayan Flora and Fauna are found aplenty on the trail. At Tapovan, there is a massive sulphur spring. The waters of the spring are said to have excellent medicinal properties. Mountains :- Hati- Ghodi parvat, Kamet , (7756 metres) Barmal- Trishuli, Dronagiri, Mana peak, Neelkanta, (6596 metres) Bethartoli, Barhmal, Hanuman peak, Changbang, kalanka, nanda ghunti, nanda kot and much more
Day 05: Dhakwani to Sinyartoli (5 to 6 hrs)
Morning after start your trek to Sinyartoli. The meadow marks the upper limit of the mixed oak and pine forests and it’s time for a short break before we descend to a side river There follows another ascent and descent (steep again in places ) to an impressive waterfall before a gradual climb through the forest to Sinyartoli. Packed lunch on the way and dinner and overnight stay at camp site.
Day 06: Sinyartoli to Jhanji (5 to 6 hrs)
After breakfast, trek down to Jhenji village. There is a large suspension bridge over the river before a 200-metre ascent to Jhanji, a small pleasant village situated in the upper Brithi Ganga Valley. Packed lunch on the way and dinner and overnight stay at village home stay /camp.
Day 07: Jhanji to Ramni (5 hrs)
After breakfast trek to Sutol village. Walk down diagonally across to the valley, cross over to the other side of the valley and climb past the village of Sutol. Reach the camp site. Meals and overnight stay at camp.
Day 08: to Ghuni (4 hrs) - to Ghat and then drive to Nandprayag and Rishikesh (approx 8 hrs drive)
After breakfast, trek down to Chefna. Then drive to Nandprayag via Ghat. Continue your drive to Rishikesh. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.
Day 09: Departure for Delhi
After breakfast leave for Haridwar Railway Station and departure.
